Keeping your toddler entertained
My toddler has way more energy than I do and sometimes it tough to keep him entertained.
He has a toy box full of toys that sometimes dont keep him occupied. Ive found that a toy for him is often something that isnt bought in the toy department at the store. He likes playing with pots, pans, spatulas, old cell phones, shoes, water bottles, boxes and all kinds of other non-toy items.
Keeping him occupied doesnt always involve toys. My son LOVES to dance and I think it is a great way to help him get rid of some of that energy. Dancing is also a good way to exercise. Being overweight is a major issue in America and having an active child early will create good habits in their future.
My son also enjoys learning things. At about 15 months I started body parts with him. Starting off with his belly botton and moving on. Now he knows his nose, ears, eyes, feet and belly button. He also does the motion of washing his hair and brushing his teeth. Teaching your child things like this at a young age is important in my opinion. I believe knowing things like this at such a young age will help in the future. I want my son to have a head start when he starts school so I am working with him on these simple things now and in the future it will be his ABC’s and 123’s.
I hope that I have given you a few ideas to help you keep your toddlers busy.
Thanks for reading!
